The Challenge

With FHGR expanding and new centres under development, it was important to have reliable information about their customers. The first thing they needed to know and understand was their visitors’ activity and how many visits they were getting. FHGR acknowledged that they needed the information to help them to develop as they wouldn’t be able to benchmark existing or new developments without it. They needed an easy-to-use analytics platform for their research.

The Brief

The brief for the installation work was down to Reveal Systems as FHGR respects Reveal Systems’ knowledge in this area. When new developments are being created, FHGR often asks Reveal what their latest technology is, as they trust Reveal’s ability to provide the highest quality work.

FHGR was particularly impressed by the advanced technology as Reveal Systems offered Face Recognition, which allows insights into the visitors’ age and gender. This was something that FHGR was excited about as it meant they could delve deeper into visitor behaviour and analytics.

The Solution

The requirement was to install cameras throughout the outlet centre, ensuring they were strategically placed above every shop/tenant, within public areas and the walkways of the outlet centre. The strategic placement of the cameras ensures that all visitors can be captured and recorded, which enables FHGR to analyse the information provided.

As is standard with any Reveal Systems install, FHGR gets continued access to the RS Reporting application via desktop and smart device/tablet access. This allows them to gain access to reports and analytics in real-time and to continue accessing detailed reports, which can range from annual to hourly, on specific areas and locations where the cameras and sensors are installed.

FHGR has been able to gain access to accurate, reliable figures with few system errors or malfunctions. This allows them to share their analytics with tenants within the outlet centres – monthly analysis can be used in order to track and monitor how well a certain store is doing or how well a certain area of the centre is performing, allowing FHGR to make strategic changes. This also allows their tenants to make changes as they have insights into whether their store is performing adequately.

Fashion House can also monitor traffic and measure the success rates of certain active marketing campaigns. This gives them valuable insights into the ones that attract the most visitors. With the information obtained, FHGR can plan events. Whether it’s a half-price weekend or a sale weekend, FHGR know exactly how and where to market the events in certain areas of their outlet centres, and which stores to target more as they can monitor footfall with certain tenants.

Blue City

The Challenge

Blue City has experienced continuous growth due to their demand in providing an extraordinary experience for their customers. This growth has been caused by internal development of the shopping mall which subsequently meant the performance of the mall progressed. Due to this increase in demand, it meant Blue City management recognised they needed to utilise and optimise both their external underground parking and their external multilevel parking in order to effectively monitor and maintain the smooth operations of their shopping mall. The solution for this challenge would mean Blue City have the ability to understand and monitor their customer behaviour from the start of their shopping experience. They would need live, accurate, smooth running data that they could access at any point to help aid them in any further development or day-to-day analytics.

The Brief

Blue City was developed in 2004 and quickly became the most dominant shopping centre in Warsaw. It required visitor flow, tracking and behavioural statistics information so that it could keep on top of the shopping centre. It also required knowledge of traffic flow and parking overviews.

Blue City’s main concern was to install an occupancy indicator system that would use green and red lights to indicate free and taken spaces, along with car number displays, so that it could clearly see the occupancy within the parking lot. It also needed fast reporting, quick updates and seamless solutions that could develop along with the fast-growing shopping centre.

The Solution

To achieve the brief, Reveal Systems installed cameras and sensors at every entrance of the centre. These cameras and sensors monitor both the entry and exit of every person entering the centre. To fully track visitor flow more hardware is placed around the main entrances of the shopping centre to ensure accurate analytics. By placing the cameras and sensors in these locations, it helps Blue City to track and maintain visitor flow throughout their centre. Blue City has the ability to check their statistics often as the analytics are uploaded straight to the server. This ensures that there is no bottlenecking taking place, which allows them to be as efficient as possible.

Sensors were placed throughout 1,500 car parking spaces across the multi-storey car park that recognise whether a car parking space is occupied or free. These numbers are then sent to display boards which are placed throughout the multi-storey car park, allowing visitors to know exactly what level has free parking spaces. These sensors allow accurate readings, which means Blue City continuously displays accurate information for its visitors.

Blue City was given access to the RS Reporting application via desktop and smart device/tablet access, as is standard with any Reveal Systems install. This has allowed them to gain reports and analytics in real-time. From annual to hourly reports, Blue City can now access detailed reports for specific areas and locations where the cameras and sensors are installed, and can “slice and dice” numbers wherever they need to in order to make their reports.

Galeria Echo

The Challenge

Due to being one of the largest shopping malls in Poland, Galeria Echo needed to be able to manage their visitor flow and tracking. Galeria Echo realised they needed to be prepared for major customer traffic from the start of the development which meant the installation of visitor flow solutions needed to be prompt. The solution for this challenge would mean Galeria Echo could accurately monitor and maintain the traffic within their shopping mall. Galeria Echo acknowledged that due to them being one of the largest shopping malls, they are able to continuously develop their marketing and internal strategies through the use of customer analytics.

The Brief

Galeria Echo, which opened in Poland in 2011, covers 159,000 sqm, of which 70,000 sqm is retail floor space. The shopping mall has four floors and is home to over 250 retail stores. It has 2,300 parking spaces and is one of many Echo Investment buildings. People counting was required on every floor of the shopping mall, as well as the ability to monitor dwell time, frequency or visits and the freedom to monitor different areas of the mall. To achieve this, Reveal Systems was required to strategically install sensors, cameras and store counters throughout the mall.

The successful installation of Reveal Systems’ solutions means that Galeria Echo can now monitor and control the shopping mall during the highs and lows, keeping them one step ahead of the game.

The Solution

The requirement was to install cameras and sensors in every entrance of Galeria Echo, as well as at strategic positions, such as escalators, lifts and passageways throughout the entire shopping mall on every level. Galeria Echo wanted a vast number of cameras to be installed so it could track and monitor dwell time, visitor flow, visitor frequency and behaviour statistics. This was achieved by installing hardware in the most strategic places throughout the mall. This meant Galeria Echo could access live analytics by using an RS Reporting application for smart devices, laptops and desktops.

This professional and easy-to-use application allows Galeria Echo access to live analytics in any location at any time, and to download specific reports whenever they are required and see the full scope of the shopping mall. This enables Galeria Echo to develop and progress by seeing which areas are performing better or worse.

Cameras were installed at the front of Galeria Echo’s most important tenants, which allowed it to monitor and cross-reference information and analytics provided by the tenants. This gave Galeria Echo full control over the shopping mall and traffic. Installing the cameras outside specific tenants enabled it to compare the different chains of brands and to make sure the division of brands was adequate and having equal, or near to equal, visitations.

Sonae Sierra

The Challenge

With ParkLake being one of the newest and largest shopping malls located in Bucharest, ParkLake acknowledged that they needed to be quick with the ability to monitor their customer traffic and flow. As ParkLake is home to many anchor stores, they needed the ability to track the footfall and attraction to be able to maintain their ability to offer the best for their customers.

ParkLake wanted the ability to analyse and track store attraction on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis through the use of easy-to-use analytics that they could then share with their anchor stores.

The Brief

ParkLake was opened in September 2016. Located in Bucharest, the shopping centre covers 70,000 sqm of gross lettable area. As people need to be counted throughout the building, on all 3 floors, PoE entry cameras, PoE vertical cameras and PoE store counters have been placed strategically throughout the shopping centre, assuring the company gets maximum benefit from the cameras.

Reveal Systems visited the site and performed an in-depth site visit that gave them a valuable insight into the best locations to place the cameras and sensors.

The Solution

A store that exceeds an area of 1000sqm is considered to be an anchor store. This is a store with a broad appeal that aims to attract a significant cross-section of the shopping public to the centre. It was important for ParkLake to monitor its anchor stores within their mall. Installing Reveal Systems allowed the company to monitor the evolution, trend and impact that a specific anchor store was having on the centre. By installing Reveal Systems’ visitor flow solution, they were able to track the daily traffic, as well as the impact of different marketing campaigns.
